Food Service Director
Scott and Pam came to Scioto Hills in 2006 as Scott took the position of Executive Director. They moved here from Colorado where scott served as an assistant pastor and Christian School administrator for 22 years and Pam was an elementary teacher. They are both graduates of Denver Baptist Bible College. Scott and Pam have three sons: Josiah (Brooke), Tim (Amy), and Jared. Scott enjoys working with people and loves serving with our new frontier camp in the summers. Pam stays busy as the food service director here at camp and teaches piano lessons during the year.
T.J. and Kimmy were married right here at Scioto Hills in 2018. Kimmy has been on permanent staff at Scioto since 2016 and T.J. since 2018. Having served on summer staff for four summers, Kimmy was very excited for the opportunity to join the full-time team as our Office Manager! T.J. served for two summers as a counselor and now serves as director of our New Frontier program during the summers. Throughout the year, T.J. substitute teaches at our local elementary schools and serves part-time at camp. T.J. and Kimmy enjoy spending time with friends, watching a good movie, and going on fun adventures.
Douglas and Lacey served on Summer Staff in 2016 after their wedding in December of 2015. They met while Lacey was in Brazil on a missions trip. Douglas was working at the church Lacey’s missions team was serving. Lacey had previously been on Summer Staff for 5 summers, and Douglas had served at a Word of Life camp in his hometown in Brazil. After living in Louisville, Kentucky for 1 year, God brought them to our team in the winter of 2016. Douglas serves as our Housekeeping coordinator. Lacey assists him while being a full-time nursing student at the Scioto County Vocational School.
Guest Group Coordinator
Dan and Kayla were married in 2007 and serve as our Maintenance Director and Guest Group Coordinator. They have 6 kids: Abby, Cassie, Josiah, Emma, Violet, and Liam. Dan graduated from Cedarville University and enjoys spending time outdoors, OSU football, reading, and spending time with his family. Dan has done maintenance here at Scioto Hills for over 30 years! Kayla, a Trinity Christian College graduate, enjoys photography, ceramics, reading, and being outdoors. She is a huge part of making our retreats successful!
Camp Store Coordinator
Sam and Kim began serving at Scioto Hills on summer staff (5 summers) while they attended Cedarville University and were married in 2010. After having the opportunity to serve at Cooperstown Bible Camp for 3 years, the Lord lead them back to serve on our full-time team in 2014. Sam serves as our Program Director and gives direction to our challenge courses while Kim directs our camp stores. In addition to serving at camp, Kim also enjoys serving as a nursing supervisor at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
Media Director & Guest Relations
Jeff and Megan joined our permanent staff team in October 2014. Jeff, a graduate of Clarks Summit University, serves on our program team with a special emphasis in overseeing our media. His musical abilities also come in handy in the camp setting! Megan, an alumni of Cedarville, serves as our registrar. They met here at camp while serving on summer staff in 2006 and were married in 2009. They have two fun little boys: Sully and Malcolm. Jeff and Megan enjoy a good book, coffee, and spending time outside as a family.
Food Service Assistant
Al and Virgie hail from Colorado. After 25 years at Ball Metal Container, Al was searching for a way to use his talents to serve the Lord. God directed him and Virgie to Scioto Hills where they have been serving since 2006! Al serves as a Maintenance assistant and enjoys building projects and spending time with his grandchildren. Virgie serves in our kitchen and as a huge prayer warrior for our staff. They have three sons: Jason, Brett, and Ryan.
Health & Safety Coordinator
Ken and Rebecca are both graduates of Cedarville University class of 1996. Rebecca grew up coming to Scioto hills since age 8, and they have been at Scioto hills as a couple since January 1999. Ken works in Grounds and Maintenance here at Scioto and assists with Program on weekends. Rebecca serves as our camp nurse and also enjoys serving our community assisting the school nurse at our local elementary school. They have three boys: Kaleb, Kody, and Logan. Ken, Rebecca, and the boys love living and working at camp!
Cindy joined the Scioto Hills team in June 2014 as our Finance Manager. Originally from Indiana, Cindy moved to Southern Ohio when she married Ed Ruggles, who, coincidentally, is Kayla Edwards' father. At the time, Scioto hills was in need of a finance manager, and with 30 years of experience in that field, Cindy was able to fill that need! Cindy and Ed are members of Wheelersburg Baptist Church, where Ed is on the security team and both are involved in the Biblical Counseling ministry. She and Ed love to travel and spoil their 15 grandchildren.
Scioto Hills is owned and governed by a Board of Trustees. These faithful servants are a policy-making board providing guidance, instruction, and counsel to the permanent staff.
